Energy Star® Wide Format Scanners Improve Customers’ Bottom Line

Columbia, Md.– May 30, 2006 - GTCO CalComp announces two new Wide Format Scanners, the ScanPlus V 742HS and ScanPlus V 942HS. The new scanners replace the high performance ScanPlus IV 742XL and 942XL series. The new HS model scanners add the latest innovation in wide format scanning technology with new energy saving features that increase the bottom line even when the scanners are not being used. The new scanners use 60% less energy and can save users up to $200 annually.

GTCO CalComp’s Wide Format Scanners utilize the latest scanning technologies and are priced affordably to meet every customer’s needs. The new ScanPlus V 742HS starts at $14,900 and the ScanPlus V 942HS at $20,900, and is easily justified for businesses with scanning requirements of approximately 400 drawings. Both the ScanPlus V 742HS and 942HS have top speeds at approximately 10”/sec black & white speed and 0.6”/sec and 3.0”/sec 24-bit color speed, respectively. The scanners have an optical scanning resolution of 508 dpi delivering unsurpassed quality and demonstrating that a typical E-size drawing (36”x48”) can be scanned in under 5 seconds. With the combination of WIDEimageNET scan to file software and/or JETimageNET scan to print software, customers have all their needs met for archiving and copying.
